Over the years DRST volunteers have gradually stonefaced the banks around the car parking areas at Rudolf Steiner School at Dartington. We never quite completed the last job because of a wasp’s nest and very large tree growing out of the bank. Five years on the tree has been removed and the wasps have long since departed so on the 26th of August Laura, Mitchell, Mick G and Don went back to finish the work.
Although Mitchell and Laura have attended numerous stone walling days over the years it was their first experience of upright build. The new length of wall went up well and is clearly visible as you drive into the school car park. The school has now cleared two further sections of nearby bank which will be ideal for training days.
